Staying awake for 36 hours fucks up the subconscious mind. Disturbing is the only word I can use to describe the disconcerting dream I had in the wee hours this morning.

I was a new high school student in another country. There was a major basketball game in the school premises and an event of another sort held concurrently in a seperate part of the school.

At first glance, it seemed to be an ordinary rally with students and teachers milling about. I stayed on as a quiet spectator and watched them move huge gift boxes about. I remembered that there were addresses stamped on them and the boxes were blue. Then a group of Asian guys appeared with 2 bundles wrapped in white sheets.

That scene was the most vivid part of my dream. It suddenly dawned upon me that the students were carrying 2 female forms. I could see the faces of the two girls who looked vaguely familiar. Faces that were strangely expressionless and doll-like, with heavily mascaraed lashes framing wide-open eyes that were staring blankly at nothing.

The scene unfolding before me was beginning to resemble some ominous ritual. Before I could even comprehend the situation, the guys lifted the 2 bundles and smashed them hard over the hall railings and watched the bodies fall and hit the ground with a sickening thud.

I could hear the crack of shattered bones. There was deadly silence, not even a scream. I prayed hard that the 2 forms are mannequins and not human bodies.

One of the teachers, a heavyset woman with greying hair, strolls over. She was playing with a huge carving knife in her hands. She calmly started hacking at the 2 fallen forms.

I saw blood and bone spattering everywhere as her hacking got more frenzied. I could not move from where I was. Then all the people present start laughing. It was the sick, twisted, maniacal sort of laughter that will continue ringing in your ears and reside in your memories. I could not get it out of my head.

They all gathered around whatever was left of the 2 girls and tossed the pieces into the gift boxes. Laughing and laughing as if they were possessed by demons.

Then the teacher with the carving knife looked towards my direction and saw me standing there. I bolted up the stairs, struggling to get away, as they came after me in droves. I seemed to get slower as they gained on me.

Then I woke up.

I wanted to throw up and my heart felt like a leaden weight. Fucking hell. I hate this, I really fucking hate it, because I remember all the nightmares I had when I was younger. Even though they don't affect me anymore, it is bloody freaky and disturbing.

Please let me sleep well tonight. *sigh*

The nail of my right index finger is slightly seperated from its nail bed. It's nothing serious but rather annoying. That is just one of the occupational hazards of opening can after can of beer and minerals during a drink cart service. That, and being encapsulated in an aluminium body of very dry air, recycled burps, farts and whatever gas our human bodies excrete.

It stung when I removed my red nail polish. When I was a classical piece on the piano and I came to the part where I have to thrill the demi-semi-quaver notes, it hurts like hell. I played until my finger didn't hurt anymore. Thus, it was one of the rare evenings at home that I spent tickling the ivories and singing to my favourite songs in my computer.

It is one of those simple things that brings about such quiet joy. I have forgotten how I felt when I played my first song on the piano.

Thinking back, I have always been an expressive person. I can share my thoughts by using words and penning them down, and find words for feelings that are hard to describe through speech. And now I realize, that I am learning to express myself better through music.

Music sounds so beautiful when it is played with feelings... I am glad I got in touch with it again...

Hello Strangers. Our paths have crossed somehow in the different stages of our journey through life. Your paths merged with mine and become intertwined for awhile. You are the people who have left imprints in my memories. Some deeper and more vivid than the others...but definately a mark nevertherless.

We were close and there we could share deeper thoughts that resonated. We seemed to understand each other in ways which no one else could. The simple, yet meaningful things that could put a smile on our faces and make our day.

There was that special connection that cannot be defined and sometimes the boundaries become blurred. Things started to get complicated and to spare ourselves the ensuing pain that could follow, we cut off all contact and drift apart, away and into nothingness. Oh,the silent hurt and the veiled helplessness!

Each encounter leaves a void in my life. The ghost of those happy times still linger on, mere shadows of a distant memory.

Goodbye, goodbye Strangers. Although, now I do not know you all the way I used to, it has been nice knowing you.

Today my best friend got married. Despite all the confusion and inner turmoil I am battling, my heart sang with joy when she exchanged vows with the man she loves and slipped the rings on each other's fingers.

Congratulations darling, you have no idea how happy I am for the both of you. I wish you never-ending bliss and may the two of you grow old together.:)

Still, the apple of my eye.

Isn't she a beauty? No matter how many laptops I have seen, my heart is still set on this model. I am still trying to justify why I need a laptop, but it is more of a 'want', than a 'need'.

...

AIYAH, don't buy lah. I will buy one of the new Sony Ericsson 3G handphones, when they are released in Singapore.

Gonna turn in now... I am totally looking forward to my flight to Christchurch later in the evening.:)

I was not planning to follow Singapore Idol 2006 but now I have every reason to. I happened to watch the show last night and realized that my childhood friend made it to the Top 28!!!

Oh my God.

This was the girl I spent the most memorable part of my childhood with, together with my brother and her cousins, Bianca, Herman and Donnie. We met almost every weekend. We would cycled around the estate, run everywhere like monkeys posessed and play all sorts of games. We were rough kids and always got all sweaty and dirty at the end of the day much to our parents' annoyance.:) We loved the Spice Girls at one stage. Yes, the Spice Girls, don't laugh please. As well as more reasonable artistes like Alanis Morrisette and All Saints. Our love for singing and music made us decide to form an all girl band, just for the fun of it. Til this day, I can still remember the tune and the lyrics of the song Charmaine wrote.

We drifted apart when Bianca and her brothers migrated to the USA and when I went to secondary school. We were all in touch for awhile and then totally lost contact thereafter.

Such fond memories and I miss them all so much... Oh well, you can be sure who my vote will go to!:)

Gonna change my hairstyle again. Perhaps tomorrow.

I have been nicknamed Xena. One of my male colleagues gaped at me as I actively and effortlessly help passengers stow their baggage. He came up to me and remarked, 'Wah! You are very strong ah! You remind me of Xena!" He happily proceeded to announce it to everyone and called me that throughout the flight.

One evening, I walked into a restaurant in Shanghai with a group of stewardesses. I saw this guy staring hard at me. I did not recognize him but I smiled at him briefly as I made my way to another table. I could see him from where I sat and he kept turning back to look at me. Then, he caught my eye and started flexing his muscles in a most comical fashion.

With a sudden jolt of realization, I started laughing out loud. It was the steward who called me Xena from a few flights back! The other gals with me wanted to know why I was laughing so I told them. They all found it very funny and said it was a very apt description. Then he came over with his wife to say hi and to my mock indignation, started flexing again. Everyone roared with laughter. Well, before you know it, I was 'Xena' to them as well.

Wah lau eh...

Now all I need to do is perfect my battle cry, do somersaults and back flips in mid-air and seriously start kicking some ass. Hah! Oh and I'll probably need a new wardrobe as well...

Oooh, I caught Mary Poppins in London! It was a pretty good musical. just that I could hardly keep my eyes open coz I was so tired. I really wanted to watch The Lion King and Billy Elliot but we couldn't get the tickets and it was freaking expensive too. What a bummer!:(

The weather in London was perfect so I took the opportunity to do a bit of sightseeing with 2 other crew. We went to the Buckingham Palace to see the change of guards, then walked to the London Eye and took a river cruise to Tower Bridge. I wish I could have done more but I'll leave that for my next flight to London.:)

Change of guards at the Buckingham Palace

Aww shucks man... I have a strong craving for bread. That means that time of the month is looming ahead. It means I'll be more impatient and snappy than usual and if anyone irritates me, I'll just toss them over my shoulder and whoop their ass. Kidding!;p I'd better go to bed before I start bingeing. Goodnight!

What do you get when 3 best galfriends meet up for the evening? A night that is anything but dull, that's what!;)

I shall start from the very beginning... I went for my first ever massage in Shanghai with a group of stewardesses. 1 hour of foot reflexology and 2 hours of full body massage. 3 hours later, I ended up with bruises on the side of my forehead and my ankle but damn, the pain felt good. Oh well. what can I say? I'm a closet masochist at heart hehe... Either that, or I can take pain quite well.

I ran for about an hour on the night that I came back home, and that miraculously cured me of my illness. Then I knocked out for 8 hours straight and woke up, with the nuclear battery totally recharged.

Did some shit, ran a few errands and met up with the same group of stewardesses at the Goodwood Park Hotel for high tea. It was really pleasant and one of the rare occasions that a set of crew will meet up after the flight. I had a lovely time!

I went off after that to meet 2 of my favourite babes.:D

When the 3 of us get together, there is always that unmistakable twinkle in our eyes as we squeal and hug each other in greeting. We hung out at The Balcony at The Heeren and we had a totally wicked time, full of fun, laughter and lame jokes aplenty!;p

After we finished our first round of drinks, we called the waiter over. "Can we get a quick fuck?" one of us asked the waiter with a straight face. We were trying hard not to laugh when we saw his reaction.

We're ordering drinks godammit! 'Quick Fuck', it's in the menu! "Give us a 'Blow Job' and a 'Slippery Nipple' as well. We were being cheeky and I have to admit that we did it on purpose. But hey, we really wanted to know how the shooters with such crude names taste like.

We smiled to ourselves when the waiter served us the drinks. Hehe;p I thought they tasted pretty good but I'll still stick to my glass of red wine anytime. The 3 of us bundled into the cab, delirious, and started singing and moving about at the back seat. I think the cab driver was pretty alarmed... *evil smile*

I miss it all already and I miss the gals even more... gonna get ready to fly to London tonight right about now.

Jude and Julz: CHING CHANG CHONG!!!! *wink* Wahahahahhaha!

Private joke.;) I'm off now. Muakz!

Inseperable Trio on a fun night out:)

Me.

Uh oh. I feel it coming... my throat is scratchy and I have been sneezing my head off all day. The virus that has been going around which I have cheerfully managed to evade has finally struck me.

It is not that bad yet, just hope it doesn't get any worse.

The Da Vinci Code was just awesome, I was hooked to the storyline from the beginning til the end. The movie definately did not disappoint me, and in my opinion, one of the best movies showing this year among all the other crap.

Went to party at Zouk again last night with my team gals and our friends. It was also the birthday of a good friend of mine. I was a tad bored as the music wasn't all that good.

Don't think I will party again anytime soon unless I am sure I will have a smashing good time. I will focus my energies on other things for now.

Flying to Shanghai tonight. Will catch ya all when I'm back!

The abuse continues. A friend once remarked that my body runs on nuclear power... and I am really starting to believe it.

I did my first solo Madras turnaround on Wednesday. And mind you, it is a very physically exhausting flight. For one, we work throughout the night and the flight time is rather long for a turnaround. And let us not forget the full load and the higher demands in general. It was tough but manageable and definately not easy heh..:) But wah lan eh, shackanaden!

I touched down early on Thursday morning and a few of my team members suggested that we watch The Da Vinci Code together. This is the first time that we have arranged to go out in Singapore after being in the team for 1 year!

At the same time, I received a text message from one of my dearest friends, saying that he would like to meet up. I absolutely must meet him coz have not seen him in months!!

How man... how?

Then one of my team gals said, 'The one who backs out is a turtle!!'

So we agreed to confirm the time and place with each other later in the day. I went home, slept 2 measly hours, caught up with some friends via MSN and met one of my gal friends in town.

Then I made my decision, I gave up Da Vinci to meet my friend coz the movie time was just too late heh. I met my team people at Yishun for dinner just before the movie. The moment I got there, they called me a turtle.:( So I was the turtle for the night, and I happened to be wearing green... Sheesh.

Caught up with my friend over drinks at Bar None and once I was feeling a pleasant buzz, we headed to Ministry of Sound to meet up with my team people after their movie.

Hip Hop and R&B, my only loves! Mixed my drinks and boogied the night away. Damn, I was in my element man... Great music, fun company and drinks. I didn't get drunk this time hehe:)

It was 6am when I got home this morning. Today I will catch that movie and tonight, it's time for Round 2.
